Yes — Egypt is very safe for tourists, especially in popular destinations like Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, and along the Red Sea. The Egyptian government invests heavily in tourist security, with dedicated Tourist Police at every major site. As your private guide, I personally ensure your comfort and safety throughout the entire journey, choosing trusted hotels, licensed drivers, and well-monitored routes.
Most European travelers (including Italians) need a tourist visa, which can be obtained easily in three ways: 1) Online e-Visa before traveling (recommended — fast and simple), 2) Visa-on-arrival at major Egyptian airports for $25 USD, or 3) Through an Egyptian embassy. I'm happy to guide you through the easiest option based on your nationality and travel dates.
The ideal time is October to April, when temperatures are mild and perfect for exploring temples, deserts, and the Nile. December and January are peak season — magical weather but more crowds. March, April, October, and November offer the perfect balance of pleasant weather and fewer tourists. Summer (June–August) is hot, especially in Upper Egypt, but ideal for Red Sea beaches and offers lower prices.
